The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), has been closed indefinitely by the management of the institution, while the SUG was also disbanded indefinitely.
Moments back, the management of the institution announced on Voice 89.9 FM, that the institution has been closed with immediate effect, while ordering students to vacate the premises before 10am tomorrow 11th September 2019.
This is coming after a protest by students of the institution turned violent earlier today, leading to the loss of life and property.

Before the incident, the FUOYE students were protesting against the BEDC over lack of electricity in the town.
Though, the Nigeria Police Force, Ekiti State Command, in their own response denied reports that policemen shot and killed two students of FUOYE who were protesting today.
