Here is the photo of the late student of Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), who was yesterday killed by the police during a protest.
A protest by students of the federal institution turned violent, after men of the police force attempted to use force to disperse the crowd.
This led to the death of a student of the institution who has been identified as Dada Oluwaseyifunmi Kenny.
Late Dada Oluwaseyifunmi Kenny, was shot by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Oye Ekiti. Before his death, he was an 100 Level student of CSH department, faculty of agriculture.
In reaction to the killing of their colleague, FUOYE students went on rampage, burning down a police van and mobbing an officer.
Before the unfortunate incident, the FUOYE students were protesting against the BEDC over lack of electricity in the town.
The management of the institution reacted to the crisis by announcing the immediate and indefinite closure of the university to forestall further breakdown of law and order.
Despite the image evidences, the Nigeria Police Force, Ekiti State Command, has denied reports that policemen shot and killed students of FUOYE who were protesting today.
